What it's about...
Fusion Kitchen is a feel-good community TV series where food, stories, and cultures come together around one table. In each of the six episodes, you’ll meet a group of cooking enthusiasts living in Ireland—originally from places like Ukraine, Korea, Brazil, Nigeria, India, and Ireland—as they take turns preparing a dish from their own national cuisine.
The host and mentor for the series is celebrated Irish chef Tara Walker, known for her warm approach and deep knowledge of world flavours. Filmed in her beautiful East Coast Cookery School kitchen in Termonfeckin, Co. Louth, Tara offers gentle guidance, encouragement, and the occasional taste test as each cook shares the story behind their dish.
There’s laughter, music, the occasional spicy surprise, and plenty of heart. By the end of each episode, the group sits down together to enjoy the meal—and what started as a cooking session becomes a celebration of friendship and cultural exchange.

Meet the participants...

The Fusion Kitchen participants are a mix of professional chefs and hobbyist cooking enthusiasts from six different cultural backgrounds among those that make up our modern Irish family. Ivan has had no formal training in cooking but learned from his family, growing up in Brasil. His day job is in a language school. Jasmine, representing India, works in the medical profession, as well as presiding over the multicultural support organisation ‘Hands 4 Unity’. It took almost two decades for Ken’s dream of opening Suya Man – a Nigerian BBQ eatery in Drogheda – to become a reality. While she works in admin, cooking is a passion for Linda, who is a strong advocate of local, seasonal and sustainable food. She’s flyin the flag for Ireland. Miko and Viktoria are the couple behind the first Ukrainian restaurant in Ireland, Lucy in Dublin’s Portobello. It’s named after Miko’s granny. A trip to Ireland from his homeland of South Korea 10 years ago impressed Yebin so much that he jumped at the chance to return as chef in Song & Jenn’s Kitchen, Drogheda. You’ll get a chance to see each of these participants cook dishes from their homelands alongside Tara Walker, as well as showing some small element of their culture to the rest of the group.
